Troublin' "In-Real-Life" events

Hello there!

Every one of us had (or will have) very important milestones in their lives. The most important one for me has just appeared.
One I won't pass the way I did others in the past. I'll have to work very hard this time which will be a very difficult task for me as I've never been a "hard-worker" type.
Being born with a really-strong-mind is a blessed thing but it also carries the potential of a wrong self-esteem to form.

Unreal became my very own and only addiction of mine, so severe I often find myself checking all the different forums every few minutes. Unreal became a family-member here you know. There's pretty much no place around me where Unreal is not present. Which is okay as I found joy in it. But I'll really have to cut this passion for a while as I'll need every free seconds to reach the goal of my life I set.
A goal that will never be reached without fighting hard with mysef.

Some of you may already know the goal as it's pretty obvius. Most of you may bless this day as I'll cut myself away.
I had my fights and I'm still pretty sure that you guys should be more polite in order to get some fresh meat to the grinder. The community was very different back then when I joined. Been a "spectator" since 2003.

For those who are before their own milestones (regarding studies), a weaker but hard workin' mind will always surpass the natural talent that is accompanied with laziness.

Have fun guys!
Can't wait to see next year's "the day MMU left events" emergin' all over the community. :'D

Ps:. Always improve yourself, and learn as much stuff as you can. Grab every single bit of information as it makes you more valuable.
Do pursue your dreams!
Here's a car mechanic, surveyor, water-mechanic, wastewater-drinking water technician who's on it's way to become a veterinarian. Wish me luck as I'll need it. Hard times ahead. :'D

Hi Molnár!

Well those are some really eloquent words you wrote there. I feel as though I finally learned something about you!
Your assessment of your situation seems heart-felt and correct and you are definitely doing the right thing in fully focusing on your studies and ultimately your career as a fully qualified Veterinarian.

I had to have a year out of university because of a stressful 2nd year, which left me tired and confused and questioning my own goals and ambitions. I very nearly did not return for the 3rd and 4th year, but was extremely glad that I did. This definitley required "fighting hard with myself" as you put it.

Wise words indeed. :)

You mention being "severely addicted" to Unreal, but there comes a point where having that 1 extra map or 1 extra mod or 1 extra tool doesn't really matter does it? It is time to please yourself now in real life and not striving to please other Unreal players by providing more and more content. I don't think you should totally forget about Unreal, but remember it with a smile and maybe return for chats and frags at a later date! I had about 5 years away from the game (2002-2007) and it was a good move. Everything seemed fresher when I returned.

Lol that is funny. With a sense of humour like that, I think you will be more than protected from any future difficulties that may arise. :)

Well I am actually not going to wish you luck, because you don't need it. You've already realised what it takes to achieve your ambition - so just do it!

Being a Veterinarian is an honourable (and well-paid!) position, in fact I see it more as a vocation than a "job". My nearest neighbours are a young couple in their late 20s who are both Veterinarians and they lead a very happy and fulfilling life. It's funny because they actually bring their work home and by that I mean they fetch geese, ducks and all types of animals home to their house and care for them even outside "office hours". It makes me smile. :)

It was great to see some photos of you in action! Take care and hopefully we will see you again with more news about your career.

Embrace life.

Tangent Speaks,

Nicely done, MMU! I didn't know you were a veterinarian!
And good thing that you saved your time for something that does effort!

Best Regards. :)

WOOF!
