Read the unreal log in the system folder after it crashes and before you restart it, See what the log says happened. My game doesnt crash at all, of course I dont eat the sauce. He He,, wondered where you been Taco. There is always team view, but I think I would be telling you to take out lots of stuff you have installed. Simple is better always.

Work and family keeps me busy but I try to get a little game play each night...I just cant get in newbies long enough to finish half a map..its frustrating...so I just have to play me other playable games.

I kill all RAM hoggin apps before going in and it only happens in MM...Newbies. I tried in TCP MM server and works fine. Not happening in anyother Newbies server..just 2 two...the only to I want to play in..lol. I even got UnrealII to get my Unreal Fix but...aint the same...hehe

Today I lasted 10 min before game crash...not bad...usually last 1 min...and I got to say Hola To Gort...A good nights play :lol: :D :P

Hi Taco :)

a (un)real problem you have.
There are two things you can do to maybe find the reason for your crashes.
First try to collect several crashmessages. Take a screenie each time the game is crashed. Later you can compare them to find out if it's always the same reason.

Second, try to enter the server without sound. Make a copy of your Unreal.ini and do the following:
With NotePad change UseSound to False

ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerQuery

Save it and try to join the server and see what happens. Of course this doesn't mean that you should play always without sound :lol:
It's only a test to see if possibly the sound is the problem.

But try to collect crashmessages from different maps, that should help to find the reason. Possibly it's one Actor on the server which causes your game to crash. Let's find out.

I will try again...Id hate to say Goodbye to this game. I mean look, took me almost 7 yrs to become admin...and have to quit now???? hahahaha.

BTW...Sparky should remember this,...when I 1st started playing, it was from work....late nights..or after work for about 2 hrs..with no sound. I had no internet at home and at work its how I found out you could play this game with real people.

SyS admins deactivated all sound cards so for the first 3 yrs it was Unreal w/no sound. FInally I got Dial up at home...and played the game online with sound for the 1st time...it bothered me for a while...heheheh..Go figure :mrgreen:

Grrrrrrrrr :evil: I GIVE UP! Same errors, done everything thats been suggested, dont know what to do anymore..I cant play in the only 2 servers I want to play in..that sucks!

Don't give up on it, you will need patience.
Keep collecting error messages of both servers. If possible post them here to have a look at it.
I saw you run UnrealGold, is there a way for you to try Unreal with the two servers?

Error message is the same..everytime. Ive always ran UGold...never had a problem...something changed that started crashing the game. What I dont undestand is why in these 2 servers only. I tried another MM server and nothing happens. Tried servers with all types of mods and I dont crash, Co-OP, DM, KOTH (yuk) and nada...no crashes..Only in ur MM and MM Inf server. Im at a loss. Ive deleted game and reinstalled. Deleted cache and downloaded again. KIlled all my RAM hogging apps, Tried with no sound, Tried with the Different Video options. My game only works with Software Renderer. I was even able to go in server with mini-notebook..of course I cant play on it coz that darn thing is so small.....

I think it's an actor in the MM mod on the servers which causes your game to crash. There are some media patches on OldUnreal.com, also for UGold. I've not enough knowledge how to handle these patches, but that could be the solution for your problem. Best to try them out. Make a copy of your UGold\System folder before trying it so you're on the safe side for the case somethings going wrong.
Maybe someone more experienced can help you with it.

The patches are also for OpenGL and D3D, maybe it can solve the problem with your video renderer too.
If I know more I'll let you know. And again, have patience. I'm sure your problem will be solved.
