Global warming....really?
I have now been stranded for 4 days at home and unable to use the car/roads!
Life is a wall of white.
I couldn't even find the car yesterday lol! Although today is slightly "better"!
Hoping it soon stops because the fridge and cupboards are not exactly overflowing with food.
Starting to get Cabin fever....
So I thought it was time for a woof in the snow!
On a positive note, I now have plenty of time to work out where Krull0r is in his screenshot.
WOOF!

There has been a sudden lowering of temperatures, but this can be a good sign.
Because things like this used to happen more regularly.

We had last Sunday also a lot of snow here in the north of Germany. But it was really beautiful!

Hmm... Never thought this would happen,
If I could assemble the puzzles correctly, I have read that the North and South Poles would switch places...
[JOKE:
Morpheus: I guess I could reassure that this switch took about 750,000 years, and we, as systematic A.Is, still couldn't decipher if this "change" would really happen.]
I guess we'll have to find out if this pole change has something to do with this global warming talk...
Best Regards.

Yes you could well be right Leo, at least these are "normal" winter days like it used to be and not all these crazy weather fluctuations that seem to happen more and more regularly wordlwide nowadays.
I agree that it is beautiful, but after nearly a week of it I got bored of the cold and the inability to travel anywhere! I'm also running out of fuel for the fire!
This is my idea of beautiful right now.

Re: Global warming....really?
A lot of people believe the Earth is flat, doesn't mean it is.
Global Warming is a thing, I knew it was over a decade before I even heard the term... and the overall rising temperature of the planet bears that up. Cold weather doesn't disprove it, because while it's nice to get rainy and wet ( I live in the Bay Area and this entire Winter up until this past week was 80F degrees for most of it) or even snow... that doesn't disprove it.
I'm not panicky about it though. Earth used to be a lot hotter ages ago, like dinosaur ages. Then we had that ice age, then the planet warmed.
Only real point up for debate is whether or not the whole thing (the more recent thing) is natural or caused by humans.

global warming is a matter of fact - makes no difference if you believe in it or not.Missionary2001 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 11:59 pm I Dont belive in global warming. Everybody gets soooo hysterical about that small thing.

Re: Global warming....really?
I do believe that part of the warming was natural, what isn't natural however is how some cities are even warmer(though mostly due to heat from stores etc flying open to the streets) and indeed the shifting climate seems to be connected not to CO2 as such, I don't believe in the official stories because I've seen counterevidence, of course pollution is bad but they try to tax ridiculous things as an excuse....
What I want to say is that there are other things to consider that people can't explain. There is even a conspiracy theory that the shifting weather is somehow connected to altered/tested indiividuals and their mood, perhaps not in these words but there's some truth to this. Or that depending on where they are the weather shifts acordingly based on the pattern, but like...affects the whole planet then. HAARP and other things have been theories too.
There's been after all the old communist/socialist dogma that they'll command wind and rain.
But what happens if big capitalist business then commands it is another story.
Just foods for thought, don't shoot the messenger.

Hurrah!
A lot of the snow finally disappeared, the car still works and the roads are driveable.
Everything is back to normal now - rain! Yay!
It is definitely true though that the climate is warming up on average, regardless of isolated incidents like this.

Re: Global warming....really?
We had a lot of snow too and I think the roads might have been blocked at some more isolated places too. Not here though because it's a bigger town but in the surroundings, sure. Especially even in the higher elevations.
The snow is still here though sun is shining too. But just average cover of snow. Besides even when such stuff like I reported last April, happens, when everything really gets snowed under, they are usually quick with their vehicles to clear the roads. Very efficient, but that can't happen in a small village I guess.
Sometimes I find it that they put too much into maintenances, as in they salt the roads too much (it melts, but then it freezes again and becomes even more slippery) if they don't immediately put the "sand" over it, those stones...and sometimes they just don't when they don't make it in time.
Also some places they just sweep the snow away near buildings, making it even more slippery in practice...
When just the...what is it called again...would be enough. But with the broom swiping they make everything shiny and slippery....
