UT99 Server

We are experimenting with a tournament server. The server name is NEWBIESPLAYGROUND for the time being. It will run all the ut game modes and at the present is running Unreal One Coop. This is the standard version found on the unrealcd.

The server is the Game of the Year edition and patched to 451B. Re directed downloads are enabled. There is a limited super cache available on the main page under supercache.

Lets hear your ideas what this server should be as our Second appearance on UT99 is being made.
A few years back, when we were with TNN host, I ran the SICKPUP server with UTEAM on UT99.

What should the DOG clan have on UT????????

Everyone take a Nerve pill. This is a game and for fun. This is a lot of work for TomKat and Me. This will get fixed, it takes time to make a Server that will suit the Clan profile. Rather than critique whats happening give us a hand in fixing it. We have a lot of things to do yet, and we are just beginning. Testing players are needed with the understanding that this is still a work in progress. I have no idea where this will lead or the impact it has on Unreal if any. I do know that we need some revenue sources if the servers are to continue in operation. I have carried the servers for years on my own, but now that I am retired thats not possible. This is not a new server but a conversion of our test server and thats what it is, a test. Now relax, go with the flow. Prime time with 26 players world wide on Friday nite, is not a good sign of use of Unreal.

Buying a copy of UT99 is best of course, but if you cannot find it...
Just get the Demo at http://333Networks.com or direct: http://333networks.com/downloads
Then apply the 436 NoDelta patch at - http://hermskii.com/
Then Bonus packs 1, 3 & 4 ( do not install 2) at - http://hermskii.com/
Hermskii has Bonus packs 1, 3 & 4 all in one zip file.
And you are all set. ;)

Check out Hermskii's UT How-To-Manual (download it too) - has all you need to install and play and run UT99 - server also. ;)

I got this stuff at my site too, but Hermskii has it set up easy! :D

I wonder why?
There may be something wrong with your install?
Did it say an error message?

great work, many thx to the Dog-Clan to let me play ut99 again :)

found that:
http://www.utzone.de/forum/downloads.ph ... GPatch451b
need to install?

my ut crashed many times, one time i had to remove the batterypack from my notebook :(

btw: is there any possibility to remove weapon 1: no airpressure, no chainsaw, no locator and no dispersion (which does not fire) seems better coop :)

actual map Krogar causes crashes
seems to be grafic problem? textures?
starting with rifle, textures are in motion, no walk possible
when using the magnification, textures becoming good, playing possible
changing weapons, ut crashes :(

We are aware of that map error BotBot, we do know what is causing the crashes, but as yet have not figured out why.

something set my defaultfov to 1 in engine.playerpawn (user.ini), maybe a crash with running the sniperrifle in zoommode.
could set back that parameter and now the bug is not repeatable for me.

strange, that i could play on other servers. so my first opinion was that map or serversettings.

love the dogs, and the new skin of sparky, PERFECT

Ha! It about time you revealed your secret identity Bot, was wondering why I hadn't seen you in the server :P

I think we have finally fixed the crashes on that map and quite a few others along with it, it seems there was a corrupt file on the server that wasn't getting loaded up. We have re-uploaded the file, but for the fix to take place fully players need to take the following steps.

1) Go to the cache folder and open up cache.ini in a text editor.

2) Do a search for ONPFootsteps.uax, this will give you the cache file name.

3) In the Cache folder, find that file and delete it.

4) Finally, remove that line from the cache.ini and resave it.

Hopefully now you can play the map without any problems, and if you can't, well - BLAME SPARKY! :P.
