VooDoo, that's a great question by the way! Although the actual correct way of pronouncing Skaarj and the plural of it is simply "Skaarj."

Besides, Epic Games made Unreal Tournament 2004, and its Assault Map "AS-MotherShip," actually says "First contact with the Skaarj..." that was when the map was explaining the scenario of the MotherShip Attack.
Plus, the correct pronunciation of Skaarj is "Scar." Epic Games usually say it as "Scar." and not "Scarj."

That issue was even adressed before Unreal came out and Cliff said in magazine previews that it's "Scar" with silent j as in the j gets dropped. However, I'd like to open that to however one prefers to pronounce it. It's definitely not ONP's "Scare" though.
