Weapon Theories Part I

Post by EpsilonXangent-(DOG)- » Wed Aug 23, 2017 9:59 pm

Epsilon Here!

Now this time I would do Weapon Theories, and if you still wanted Character Theories Part III make sure to give me a reply that lets me know that you want another theory of characters again.

Remember that I'll do 5 this time, then I could do a part II.

Let's do it...

T-8 Dispersion Energy Blaster:
------------------------------------
(1) Dispersion Pistol Weapon Theory.png
The Unified Military Services T-8 Dispersion Energy Blaster is the standard Security Guard's Sidearm that's useful for penetrating any prisoner threatening their fellow prisoners or threatening the guards. The pistol has a Mini Quantum Generator used to power the gun, as well as forming Dispersion Plasma Energy. While Guards use the Level 1 version of the T-8 Dispersion Energy Blaster, Marines use the same weapon but with different Levels by Power Ups. Those Power Ups usually increase the strength of the pistol, but decrease the speed of the mechanism of shooting the pistol. Those Power Ups have upgraded Dispersion Plasma Energy in them and when used, the user places the core into the pistol, and the pistol automatically upgrades itself by adding new mechanics that use stronger Dispersion Plasma Energy, as well as making the pistol look more powerful. The T-8 Dispersion Energy Blaster could upgrade up to Level 5.

AFP-53 Automag:
---------------------
(2) Automag Weapon Theory.png
The AFP-53, or the Automatic Firing Pistol, is another standard weapon used by Guards and Marines.
Since the Automag is light-weighted due to the use of an unknown metal type, it's also easy to carry around.
The Pistol fires Gas-Propelled 50 Caliber rounds that are much more powerful than a standard pistol that shoots regular 50 Caliber Rounds. And since it became the favorite standard Sidearm of the Unified Military Services, the Inuit Military Corporation, Liandri Mining Military, and more Military side Corporations, the T-8 Dispersion Energy Blasters and the AFP-53 Automag are the best sidearms that anybody could use.

TMT-32 Stinger/ TMW-32 Stinger:
-----------------------------------------
(3) Stinger Weapon Theory.png
The Tarydium Mining Tool 32 Stinger, now known as the "Tarydium Mining Weapon 32 Stinger," is Liandri's standard secondary weapon useful for eliminating weak to medium leveled enemies, once used as a mining tool to break Rocks from blocking miners' ways, the TMW-32 Stinger has its own hybrid of Machine Gun plus Shotgun added together. Although not a formidable weapon, it's useful as a helper for when the user needs to kill enemies quickly. The TMW-32 Stinger uses 40 Tarydium Shards that "Sting" the enemy, hence named the "Stinger." Liandri Mining Corporation discovered the benefits of a Mining Tool as a weapon, and added this weapon to the Marine's standard armory.

Acoustic Shock Magnesium Device 74 Shock Rifle:
-----------------------------------------------------------
(4) ASMD Shock Rifle Weapon Theory.png
The ASMD-74 Shock Rifle, named the Acoustic Shock Magnesium Device, is one of the powerful shock weapons ever made by the Inuit Corporation. Using Electric Magnesium and Standard Fusion Power, the ASMD is a quick standard weapon useful for destroying formidable enemies. Shooting the Shock Beam at the Shock Core makes a combo called the "Shock Explosion." which can instantly kill enemies who are at a fair health rate. As a Marine's Special Armory Weapon, the Marines prefer to use the ASMD-74 as a weapon for quickly killing enemies, aside from the TMW-32 Stinger.

HRGL-94 Eightball Gun:
----------------------------
(5) Eightball Gun Weapon Theory.png
The Homing Rocket-Grenade Launcher 94, codenamed the Eightball Gun, is the standard explosive weapon used by the Skaj'vazar (Skrathiji language for Skaarj Marines). The Eightball Gun uses a Chamber-Barrel in front of the gun that is used for loading up to 6 Rockets/Grenades. Originally, the UMS had the idea of a weapon that could shoot a Rocket and a Grenade, and was in the process of making the weapon, and before they even started, the Skaarj Invaded the base, and stole the Blueprints of the HRGL-94 Eightball Gun. The Eightball Gun uses Eightball Rockets, hence the name "Eightball."

That's it for the first part of the Weapon Theories, I'll make sure to post a Part II of it later, I hope you enjoyed again!

Best Regards. :)

This has to be the first one of the theories that I don't like that much. First off, you said "Liandri Mining Military" which I assume to be a mistake. Also "Inuit Corporation" was never "Military".

There's a backstory to them. They are essentially an over-bearing corporation that develops prototypes of weapons/ships and other and are involved in science and have deals with various other factions. They will eventually go with anyone who they find profiting.

They were also the real reason of Prisoner 849 imprisonment(that was the original story and in the novels this holds true for both Zofia and Gerrick protagonists, so this makes it canon).

I do understand your dislikes on my theory, but all I really did was actually write in what do I really think of the Game and its story I like to add in if it were possible.

I can confirm that my theories have nothing to do with canon-based stories of the game.

But then again, I respect that you're giving me your opinion.
But I actually thought it would be fitting for me and whoever reads it.

And no, I'm not trying to defend myself for an opinion, that way is meaningless.

Best Regards. :)

The funny or sad thing is that the modern Epic, even by the time of UT2004, forgot a lot of this stuff and since tons of new people worked on the game, some of that stuff there does conflict with the old "canon". So it's kinda LOL either way.

I personally think the reason behind all of this was because of "Cliff Bleszinski's" life issues after meeting a girl he had a crush on ( I think so? ). He didn't care about the development of another game franchise "Gears of War."

And I personally think again that the people familiar with the Unreal Franchise should work on it (As in people who are experts in editing, mapping, coding, et cetera).

It's funny because Cliff, Tim and James were the original trio who worked on Unreal. And James started it. Then they got freelancers like Dr. Sleep, Eric Reuter, Myscha. They were among the first to join after. Inoxx joined like halfway into 1996 and I'm not sure when the others did to be honest. Eric got only credited for some reused brushes of his as additional level design and John(dr sleep) left firmly in 1997 to join developement of Daikatana. Eric left sometime in March '98 though he was still backdoor involved with Unreal, with the elusive addon pack and with unreal psx.

Eric can be credited for the creation of the Sky City themes working with the texture artists and Dr. Sleep for the Crypt stuff. They were the brainheads behind those styles.

But Cliff was still mostly factually right when talking back about Unreal. It's all the newcomers and uncareness that caused the mess and the fact that Epic has grown into corporation of its own.

Cliff wasn't ultimately the most caring person, often being mostly the most funny guy of the bunch and responsible for most of unreal injokes in the first place. Myscha/Shane following second. Yea about Shane...I'm not sure when he started working on Unreal but I think only by the time of 1997. And he's the only one from the level designers still at Epic! All the others are way gone.

Ah I see, but why would they abandon the good storyline of Unreal and the Tournaments and begin milking it for no apparent reason? And why would they need to abandon one level designer on his own? Wouldn't Shane feel tiredness afterwards?

He wasn't really working on the Unreal stuff anymore by the time ut2004 came out.

It was all new level designers and people from the community.

UT2004 was created for the purpose of milking the franchise. You can ask some of the level designers who worked on it. I know of one who's levels didn't end up in the game, but who found the game sucked honestly.

He said that they were all asked to create new generic levels for dm. And indeed most of what didn't come from ut2004 or ut2 betas or from the previous game as whole, had this dull feeling to it.

So all the new Epic content was dull in exception for that and some of the mod teams that joined the project to make their mods part of ut proper.

It was all mainly on order of Atari(infogrames) to regain some lost bucks into the series. Lost bucks that they themselves caused before.

So UT2004 was technically the traitor even they did go as far as to tell people to return copies of ut2003, a superior game, for discount.

They also screwed over Unreal 2's developement, blamed the wrong people and closed down Legend. They also had hand in cancelling Unreal PSX when GT Interactive no longer had deal with Epic.

What the "official" story is is always a lie or a distortion by the PR people.

Oh I see, but then again, why would they destroy the franchise on purpose with a game that had a storyline nothing compared to Unreal's Storyline?

Oh boy, my time to sleep, perhaps I'll see you soon!

They didn't even destroy it on purpose. It was out of not being aware and not really caring deep enough for it. Even now, with that latest UT, many people are often confused and not aware of the series history in detail, creating conflicts in continuity and what not further.
UT4 is like the ut2004 situation amplified on a big scale. The community part. But there's no real driving force from Epic. This time it's not even for the money but the history kinda repeats itself still.

Yet ultimately they decide, even though it causes backlash from people. It's all just an excersise to turn the community into socialism is as far I see.

They try to convince them they should like the changes. And from people like me, they do the exact opposite of what you tell them to change. They change it for the worse to piss you off because you're an individual. That's the real face of Epic now. I'm sorry.

Ah, I see why now. But that is a hard feeling to see that the rest of the Unreal Community (Not the Dog Clan) don't really concentrate on the Unreal Storyline.
