Want to let you know, that I'm ok. I was just ready to return to the game soon, but I had a pc crash last night. My system is lost and I must first get another pc and a new system. Hope I can be back soon.
Life went very bad for me over the last months, just hope it will getting better in the future.

It seems my mainboard is finished. The other parts like cpu and vidcard still need to be checked. I hope the rest is still ok, especially the harddrives. My system is lost, but most important are the harddrives.
At the moment I have no pc with internet access, lol only an old win98er but it's not possible to connect it with the internet.
The first thing I need is a pc with which I can test my harddrives. All other parts can be replaced, but if also the drives are damaged I would lose everything.

Kami dont buy a pc U can have one from me for nothing!

LOL, I'm not able to buy a new one even if I would like to.
That's a very kind and generous offer, but I can't take it. Don't worry, I will solve the problem somehow. I have a friend of a computer shop and he will help me with it.
I will keep you informed how things going.

One other thing. Not only my name changed, also my email addy has changed. Just for the case you had emailed me and wondered why there weren't any answers. My new one is:

Kami, or rather £éè£å ??? (sorry, you will always be Kami to me ), it is wonderful to know that you are OK. Many of us have been worried about you, and all of us miss you very much.

Sorry to hear your computer is not working, but rarely is it worth the expense or effort to fix older machines ( an athlon xp if I recall). However, perhaps Sparky or one of the other technically inclined DOGs could help you troubleshoot. Mainboards rarely fry and most major problems are usually power supply or ram. Your hard drives are more than likely perfectly fine.

I have yet to see an old win98er not be able to get online. Most have onboard networking and if not, an inexpensive NIC, network card, should at least gain you internet access. You can probably just remove the one from the broken computer and use.

We are all looking forward to your return to the server but I have a question for you. Why the name change? ( new name, new start? ). Just curious, as Kami is one of the most beloved players on the server.

Hoping to be hunting Skaarj with you soon, as Sparky has made it so we have quite a few more to hunt now. Things will get better for you Kami, you have brought lots of positive energy to many of us, and we will send some back your way

I was informed today what happened. The cpu was overheated and burned out. The mainboard and vidcard are damaged, but memory and harddrives are ok. I will soon have another pc ready with another board and vidcard, the rest are from my old pc. It has a pentium IV cpu, it's a little faster than the old one. It will not be very expensive.

We are all looking forward to your return to the server but I have a question for you. Why the name change? ( new name, new start? ). Just curious, as Kami is one of the most beloved players on the server.

Many things have changed. Something terrible happened and I went through a nightmare. There are things I have to overcome. Yes, maybe you really can call it a new start. Leela was a fighter and now I also need to be a fighter to go on.

Grrrrr, there are good and bad news. First the good ones.

I have a PC ready and working at the moment on the new system. I still need to get one of my old drives ready, which will be the second drive for the PC. As soon as it is done I can install my prgs and games again. At the moment I need every single MB for the work. The new main drive has only 80 GB. Oh my, I guess I have to burn about 60 DVDs to get it ready.
I had 4 installations of Unreal with about 30-40 GB of data in total.
But the good thing is, that I have no data loss. All 3 drives are in good condition. Also it's not necessary to reformat and make new partitions on the the drive I will use. Former that was my third drive and the partitions are nearly perfect, but I must first empty the drive for use.

And here are the bad news.

Health problems slowing me extremly down. It all started last saturday with some pain in my left arm. On sunday it became worse and I had strong pain in the shoulder. On monday I was in hospital, but there wasn't much help, after 2 hours of waiting <grrrrrrrrr>. Now it's more worse, I can't lift up my arm and there is always strong pain no matter what I try. Also the shoulder is thick.
I was at the family doctor this morning and he thinks I have an Impingement syndrome. I searched for it on google and all symptoms match exactly. Next week I must visit a specialist for further examinations.
Oh my, I hate all this crap. I'm already asking myself what will happen next. First victim of a crime, then my PC died and now this sh*t (sorry for the strong word, but I find no other).
But I will not give up and go on. Maybe it will take a little more time, but I will get my system and Unreal ready again.

I'm so sorry to hear this, all of it, I can't imagine being under that much stress What happened with the crime part though? Nothing too bad happened to you did it?
