Need some help...

I'm not familiar with Paint.NET, I use Paint Shop Pro. And I never used the png format.
Why do you use the png format for your files? I would take bmp for it so you are on the save side.

One thing could help is this:
Save your png pix as bmp. Reduce the colour of the bmp pix to 8 bit 256, then save them as pcx files. You should have no trouble that way.
When working on a skin or something else, you should use bmp as long as it's not ready. After work is done you can compress them as jpg, gif, png or whatever you want.

Sounds like the problem is the colour reduction. With Paint Shop Pro I have no trouble with it.
Since I don't know Paint.NET it's difficult to imagine.
You can send me the skin files if you like and I convert them to pcx.

Paint.NET got updated.
Some plugins I had don't work anymore.
Now everytime I save a .pcx the color will mess up...

Maybe its time to BUY this instead of d/l from the internet..... hehe...
