Wow! It looks great I love it but unfortunately I don't have much experience with this. Hmm... how about Kami/Rubie?

this tutorial i created covers converting static mesh assets from unrealengine 1 , 2 and 3 based games into unreal 227 static meshes.
later in the video , i discuss how you can take a static mesh , convert it to obj then to brush then to a vertex mesh for use in older versions like 225.

amendments: unreal 3 and 4 based games will work in a similar matter. use the updated umodel versions on gliders site.

there is tools around to convert static models from many , i have had success with the following :
- minecraft ( level geometry as obj)
- skyrim props: you need BSA Unpacker-4804-1-0 and nifskope , models are exportable to obj in nifskope.

also notes: before you waste time on postal 2 or kf stuff i converted massive chunks of the game props to 227 compatible files already ,
i actually fully converted a entire killing floor map to unreal already. and half of 2 separate postal 2 maps.
if you need those usx libraries ask

also for animated models from ut , ut2 , ut3, ut4, its possible to import full animated models easily into unreal227.

Awesome tutorials Bob.
hehe, I am fairly sure which Bob you are now.
I don't suppose you have a copy of Turbomans final pickup truck "TVehicles" (2-seater) ?
He says it is on a drive he needs to salvage, so it may be lost :(
