I have 3 USB sticks, and they vary in speed massively, more so with the write speed.
My fave USB stick has a handy ability to be partitioned with the tool that came with it.
I can burn a bootable ISO to it and set it to behave like a real USB optical drive, rather than a bootable USB stick.
This is very handy for installing any OS onto one of those tiny notebooks with no optical drive, as some can insist on only seeing certain types of bootable device.
It also makes it much quicker for me to see which Mint Linux distro likes my rig best.
