AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
my grandma is one of the BEST things that has ever happened to me, aside from you guys, lol
Long time ago she bought a dell xps 400, but she doesn't use it anymore, she got herself a better computer
Now shes giving it to me so i can transfer all the parts to that computer and use it on top of that, i can still save up for the other parts and then have 2 computers
I feel like doing a happy dance, Its been hard for me to be away from the server for a couple days, cause i don't have much else to do
I should be back on by hopefully Saturday or Sunday, when my dad feels like doing it

Re: Help...
Ok, I've backed up what my grandma needs on her old computer, burned it to a disk, etc. Because she has so many games and stuff on there that I'm going to completely reformat her hard drive, and install my stuff, I should see you all later today

Newegg is your friend
I recommend:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDeal ... 431711-L0C
Couple that with this ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103843 ) and you are talking about a SCREAMING machine that you wont have to upgrade for 5 years +
Re: Help...
We are hooked up and running
These specs are enough to run Unreal very decently, here they are
Pentium 4 3.2Ghz
ATI Radeon X600 256 MB x2
1GB RAM
75GB Hard Drive
Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS
It's not a state of the art computer, but I could honestly care less, at least I can play unreal
The other computer will be invested on to be fixed and made into a good gaming machine
I may not need to reformat this computer at all, Since there is alot less crap than I thought

Re: Help...
When I saw these end of July specials, I just couldn't resist..:
Sold my previous Desktop/Server and ordered some kickass hardware for a new build; Total cost = $356.74.
What I got ( Can't f'in beat it):
...Mobo and RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDeal ... 431711-L0C
CPU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103843
Video Card (plan to crossfire them when they go down a little in price):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150466
Will be badass!... And has features that aren't even fully implemented yet (USB 3.0, Dual-Bios interface)

Re: Help...
WOW
I don't know much about AMD, but it looks nice
DDR3 RAM, what exactly is the difference? Another question, can DDR3 supported motherboards still go with DDR2?
The video card looks a tiny bit dated, but crossfiring that would be nice
I'm actually thinking about AMD now, if i can find better prices than intel, I just may look into that instead

Re: Help...
Why does this happen to me
Out of ABSOLUTELY nowhere, I'm now getting bsods with this message
BAD_POOL_CALLER
trying safe mode and all, I still get errors
going to recovery console, I get this
SESSION3_INIT_FAILED
I can't do anything, is there a way to format the hard drive WITHOUT the windows disk?

Re: Help...
It's a problem with the ram, those errors both mean something is up with the ram, weare gonna switch them out. For the ones in the other computer

Re: Help...
I can't play unreal on it anymore, because my dad thinks it's too powerful for the computer, take a look at the specs and tell me what you think
Windows can't boot, neither can the disk, cause apparently 1 GB of ram ain't enough
This is complete bull, unreal was running great today, and just because one thing happened, I no longer can do anything meaningful, the mappack is at a halt, I can't play unreal anymore, it's not my concern any longer
You all have been one of the best things in my life, and now it's gone, I'll miss you all, enjoy unreal
EDIT: Ok, maybe a bit drastic there, lol, but still, I honestly thought it would be awhile until i get the motherboard, but it turns out im busting my butt of to get this fixed once and for all
I should see you all in unreal in about 3 days, im gonna be SO bored those 3 days D; but after this its done, i hope, cause if its not
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE

No offense, but I think you just need to stay away from computers period. Minus posted all the info you could possibly need. You most likely have a bad RAM module or it needs to be reseated. Have your father review the links in detail...
