Wow, was coming in to say I never thought I'd be posting here and have always felt blessed that I hadn't had to, and I see you guys are right on top of things. Well to let you guys know what's up, I guess they found a lymph node under my left arm that's not in good shape. Actually it's taken the shape of a "goose egg". Never had a problem like this before. I think it may have been caused by the venomous spine of one of the fresh water shrimp I sell but I'll find out more later. They said they can't do a local on it to biopsy it, I guess because it's badly infected and don't want to puncture it, so their gonna put me under to remove it completely. They wanted me in immediately and so I'm scheduled for this afternoon.
Needless to say, I'M FREAKING OUT! But I'm going in at 4:30p.m. Should be a simple operation from what I hear but heck, what's simple about any operation, especially when your not the one doing the operating. So I'm at T minus 8 hrs and counting till I gotta go under. Just can't understand why it didn't get better like everything else always has. Kim told me yesterday, that's what happens with "AGE"...hehehe...Oh now I feel BETTER!!!.... Hey well, really love you guys and the support you've given me with this. Thanks a bunch Glen, you eased my mind enough to follow through with it to this point, I know it's nothing in comparison and that too has helped. I feel like I'm in good company. And Deb, keep those prayers coming, I don't think anyone can have too many in a time like this. You guys are the only family besides Sue that I've got on this and I really appreciate knowing your there more than I can say.
And one last thing, Thanks Matt for your concern my brother. You made me laugh about it and take it seriously at the same time. Between you and Sparky, you guys are the reason I think I can go in feeling like it's no big deal and I'll be out sooner than an oil change. lol Love all you guys and I'll let you know soon as I've gotten my plug wires back in. Thanks again!Your bestest Doggie Buddy Wisdom a.k.a. Mike-y This Has Been....

Well, I'm out. OMG....this was one of the longest days of my life or should I say bunch of hours of my life. was supposed to go in at 2:30pm for the surgery at 4:30pm, well, at a quarter of 6 while I'm sitting with both feet in the operating room,(still attached to the rest of me), I was thinking they must be getting paid by the hour...lol, and each minute seemed to take 10x's that to pass. And I kept wondering where my surgeon was, must still be in rush hour traffic from her office 2 blocks away...hehehe. Then I met the guy that was gonna put me under,(who knows what he said) was too freaked to translate it to sensible information. Just kept thinking of what Sparky said..."5 minutes and they'll have you under". Well, by 6:30 everyone was in there doing who knows what and I was still staring at the ceiling. Then the next thing I know I was waking up in another room that wasn't the O.R. and it was as Tomkat Rebel put it, a really nice sleep, for the first time in a few months. I just walked in the door and had to let you guys know that I made it through O.k. but it would seem the news wasn't good and surprised me even more. I don't want to go into it right now but I can use all the prayers I can get and the hot lines are now open and he's accepting all calls on my behalf. I gotta talk to my doctor tomorrow to see where we go from here and once I get a second opinion from a specialist, I'll know more for sure and I'll let you guys know what's up. Again, I can't tell you enough how much it means to me to have you guys here. I love all of you and the support your sending my way. Just don't know why it had to be so blasted bad of news. But I'm not gonna jump the gun and go into it before, as I said, I talk to a specialist, which should be tomorrow I hope.
Well, gonna do some soul searching for the night and I'll be back on tomorrow. Thanks Taco, it's always great to know the neighbors are home and the lights are on....lol, even if it is a fire in the kitchen....hehehe. Great to hear from you my friend. O.K. Well I'll talk to you folks later. This Has Been....

Well, as promised, pretty cool eh. By now you probably feel like they used a hammer and chisel under your arm. With the developments being undesirable Mikey, just remember one thing, God is in control as we follow our destiny as he determines it. Have "Courage"

We are all here for you but more important, the Father never leaves you or forsakes you. March forward my friend.

Glad to hear everything went well with the operation wisdom. I have had a total of seven surgeries myself. LOL, one time I wanted to see how long I could stay awake once they administered the anethesia (Great buzz!

) until the nurse finally told me to stop fighting it hahaha....I always joke around with them cause it kinda breaks the ice for both me and the doctor...

I know that's a long wait.... time distortion that just doesnt seem to end, then blink. I am praying and praying. Just talking to the Lord
about you, its kind of a chat thing. Telling him about your laugh and other stuff... like He doesn't know...<g> but, that is how I pray.
like Sparky said, I bet your sore today... take it easy. If you feel up to it.. come spec and heap some trouble on the old man.
((((((((((((( huge, but gently hug )))))))))))))
I know you will keep us updated... and like Sparky said, the Lord knows and understands... you know we are here for you.
xoxoxo

Wow, you guys are great and your right Deb, I should have been praying instead of counting the holes in the ceiling tiles...lol...but the conversations the staff was having about what they were gonna do on the weekend was just not cool at all. And then the problem with getting the IV in was a real drag too. The "if at first you don't succeed try try again" methodology, followed up with chuckles of laughter wasn't the kind of reassured bedside manner I was afraid of.
Just got off the phone to the my Doctor while I was posting this. Got more tests on Monday and they'll remove the drain hose in my arm pit. Then it's off to get a C.A.T. scan,(go figure..lol) and a P.P.T. test at the same time. I was on the phone to my Dr. and Sue was on the phone to the test center setting that appointment up at the same time. So, the doc's gonna call me Monday afternoon with the results of the test and see where we go from there. So Glen, as always, your hitting the heart of the matter, he's looking out for me no matter what, and I count on it. I know whatever the outcome, I'm in his hands and I never get to hear it enough, thank you. It is times like this that we tend to forget and loose sight of the bigger picture. Well hey, can't say it enough...love you guys, I appreciate the support, and I'll let you know what's up soon as I hear what's going on. This Has Been....

It wasn't you. Anesthetists use certain speech to confuse you before they drug you.
Feel better soon!

Hehehe....your right Sparky, looks like 90 weight........well more like cheap 30 weight...lol. but it's slowing down so that's good. And OoiGooee, oh man it's true, I didn't know what the heck he was saying and in the confusion got put out...cause I don't remember a thing after that, till I was looking at the ceiling again...lol. Glad that's over with, I'll be glad when Tuesday's here and I'm back at work. Oh by the way, it wasn't the shrimp after all, seems you can't get any kind of bacteria to cause this kind of a problem from sea food but it was the only thing I could think of after the doctor tested me for "Cat Scratch Fever" but that wasn't it either. She'd said she's seen it in one of her patients before and it was similar. But that was negative too. This Has Been....
