Well, the long anticipated operation will take place at Indianapolis Methodist Hospital commencing early tommorrow morning. This will be open heart surgery with an aotic valve replacement and repairs for Atrial fibrillation (Maze procedure). This procedure should take 4-6 hours and of course is very serious and complicated. Recovery is expected to take weeks or months. This heart condition has reached a point where she has little choice but to get it fixed. I will keep you posted. Have no fear, God is in control and his will shall be done. This is the belief we both share, and we are prepared in the case of any event that may occur. I am not saying we both dont have some anxiety over this. She is getting a real bio valve, probably pig valve,, I wonder is she will start oinking in her sleep and have an urge to root in the mud. (im so bad)

Your prayers are appreciated, and Sickpup is really worried about this surgery as Mom is his primary care giver. The old smelly one will do what he has to do, as we all must in this life.

No news yet.....

Home first time. All has went well and continues as it should at this point. Amazing what has happened in 24 hours but now need to sleep badly. I will report later on progress, but all repairs went good.

Thank you all for your support, will post more as I know it. She is off the vent and has set up and ate food already.
