Ok, this guy was breaking the rules earlier, and Spinach banned him for a bit


He has another IP and is back in wreaking more havoc

Please ban him on sight, he should not be in here, he has another IP, itll be hard to track him down, but please try to get him out of here, he makes alot of people mad by shooting others and ends without asking

I also hear he was banned for 5 maps??? I'm not positive about that, but still, keep a good eye on him i will ask Spinach later

Well spinach let him off since he wasn't sure what had happened exactly

Since he let it fly I can't do much, but please keep an eye on him, he is really frustrating me to no end

I know him and yep, he can be a little annoying
I haven't seen him really doing bad stuff yet, but I will have an eye on it.
Don't know for sure, but I believe he is very young so maybe we should try first to explain the rules to him. If that doesn't help, he can still be banned for a longer period.

Well that's the thing Kami, he seems to obey most of the rules when admins are in, but once they leave he raises hell.

I know exactly what you mean, but this also gives us a problem.
Imagine the following situation: (this is of course only an example )

One or more players keep telling me this W3RM guy is doing very bad stuff, ends without asking, keep shooting other players into lava or slime, insulting other players and using bad language.
Now, what should I do next time when he is in? Ban him without any warning for things he maybe hadn't done?

Maybe you see the problem here, this was of course only an extreme example. If I would take action against a player without seeing what he did, other players could use this to discriminate a player and get him banned, even if he is innocent.

That's why I can't take action without seeing things by myself. One way to check players is to be on the server without being logged in as admin, and even with another name. I did that several times in the past to see how some special players behave when no admin is in, and I still do it from time to time.

No matter what happens, I must see it to take action. Maybe this is a little hard to understand and often frustrating, but necessary to avoid unfair treatment.
